My Night Time Skincare Routine
When it comes to skincare I am really a creature of habit. I have super sensitive skin and so when I find products that my skin like's I tend to stick with them. When I first moved from London to LA and few years ago I found I really had to adjust my skincare routine to the vast change in weather. I found my skin was breaking out a lot and my forever favourite cleanser The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish was too rich for my skin. So after trying lots of different products I ended up with Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil and I haven't looked back! This stuff is brilliant, it completely removes all my makeup and cleanses my skin. I rub the cleanser onto my face dry and then go in with a damp-wet muslin cloth. I know some people like to rise with water and then dry but this method is great for me as I get a light daily exfoliation.
Step two is a product that I have been using since I was 8 years old and started cleansing, toning and moisturising....The Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic. Whenever I run out of this and haven't go a back up in my cupboard I REALLY notice a change in my skin. As I mentioned my skin is very sensitive as this has a way of completely calming it down and soothing it. I take smallish amount on a cotton round and swipe it all over my skin and it even works around my eyes!
Now on to serums and treatments. A product that I have been really enjoying over the past year or so is the Kiehls Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. With living in LA, I have noticed, even though I wear 50 SPF on my face everyday, dark spots appear a lot quicker than they have ever before. This has been doing a great job of getting rid of some older pigmentation but also minimising and new marks to appear from blemishes.
And for my final step, instead of using a moisturiser I like to go in with my Estee Edit Pink Peony Overnight Water Pack. This is an overnight mask but I am obsessed and this really helps me to wake up with fresh plump hydrated looking complexion.
I have created a full video so you can see all the products in action below....
