My Fitness Routine
So it has been very interesting living in LA with all the hottest fitness crazes and experiencing people who are very educated when it comes to health and have a super health conscious way of living. I have always been a very active person when it comes to working out and taking care of my body, however my methods have changed a lot over the past couple of years and I have really found things that work for my lifestyle and body.
I'll start off with working out and we can get to food later. So I used to try and workout everyday or at least 4 times a week and when I couldn't achieve that it left me stressed out. Nowadays, I go with more with the approach to workout when I can and when my body feels like it. I have also changed the type of workout I am doing. I used to do a lot of HIIT training and running, but I have completely fallen in love with Reformer Pilates (it has literally changed EVERYTHING!). I have always loved Pilates as I could always feel it was doing great work on the toning front but Reformer has taken things to the next level for me. It gives me a great full body workout and I like to 2-3 times a week, more if I can but realistically finding more time can be hard. I also love to hike, I am VERY lucky to live in LA where there are some incredible hiking spots. I like to go alone and also use it as time to catch up with friends too.
Taking all the pressure out of working out has been the key to all round feeling good. When it comes to food, I have been vegetarian since I was 6 years old and now lean towards a mostly plant based diet. I am no expert but listening to your body is truly the key.
