Winter Beauty Essentials
The winter time can be pretty darn tricky for me. I have really dry skin as it is and when the Winter sets in things can be challenging! However, I have found some products over the years that have totally helped keep everything a little more hydrated.
Even though I live in LA, I have been doing quite a bit of travel to some colder climates recently, which has really forced me to think about what things will keep me moisturized, from my hair to my feet!
So kicking things off with hair, in the general, since coloring my hair, I try to use heat tools a lot less I used too. I love to use a mask once a week (often in place of conditioner), I go for the VERB Hydrating Mask. Then a absolute MUST is a hair oil! I have really been enjoying the Redken Diamond Oil. I use it on my hair when it's damp before I dry it and then also once it's dry I like to run a little bit over the ends.
Working our way down to my face, most of my skin care is super hydrating but I have picked out some keys bits that I can't be without. Starting off with my cleanser, The Josie Maran Argan Oil Cleanser is a dream to remove makeup and take the grub of the day off but doesn't leave your skin dry or stripped. For serum I love the Ole Henrikson Truth Serum, it has vitamin C and feels really hydrating on the skin. My lips became super chapped whilst I was skiing over new year and this Tarte Lip Scrub has been a game changer! It has totally helped get off all the dry flakey skin but the coconut oil in it has left them hydrated and feeling amazing.
For my hands I really like using the Body Shop Hand Cream in Shea Butter. Not only does it smell amazing but it is very very moisturizing and sinks into the skin perfectly. For body I am an OG user of good old Vaseline Intensive Moisturizer. It's approved my the eczema association and is unscented so it doesn't affect my fragrance choice.
And my final Winter skin essential has to be tan! I never used to be a fake tan lover as I have super dry skin and get random eczema patches, which can be problematic. However, I recently discovered (thanks to my sister) Eco Tan. It's 100% Vegan product and delivers amazing results so easily. I have been using the Invisible Tan for a while now and recent tried out the Face Water along with the scrubbing mitt, and I love this combo the best!
